This includes preparing our physical bodies. The church has published the following statement about our physical health on providentliving.org:
“The Lord has commanded members to take care of their minds and bodies. They should obey the Word of Wisdom, eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, control their weight, and get adequate sleep. They should shun substances or practices that abuse their bodies or minds and that could lead to addiction. They should practice good sanitation and hygiene and obtain adequate medical and dental care. They should also strive to cultivate good relationships with family members and others.” (Handbook 2: Administering the Church)

Maintaining
the best possible physical health has been a gospel ideal throughout
the ages—from the strict dietary laws of ancient Israel, with the
example of Daniel and his associates, to the Word of Wisdom in this
dispensation and the counsel of today's prophets and apostles. By
maintaining good physical health, we become more self-reliant and are
better prepared to progress personally, strengthen the family, and serve
in the Church and community.
As the above statement reads, when we maintain good physical health, we are better prepared and can serve!
Start“Fitting In Time”
for the kingdom today by starting an exercise routine that works for
your individual circumstances and then reach out to others and help them
do the same.
We
know as we start F.I.T. that we will be better prepared for the ups and
downs of life and more capable to follow the example of our Savior,
through service. It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ and applying
these gospel principles that we can receive an abundance of joy in this
life and in the life to come. Ah- La Dolce Vita!
